Making ICCS' David's Place a home

David’s Place differs from other publicly funded addictions and/or housing programs as the program offers longer durations of continuing care, extending for a minimum of 6 months and up to 12-18 months. Research has shown that longer lengths of stay in addiction treatment are associated with better clinical outcomes and lower rates of relapse. Our Rotary club supported David’s Place with a donation to supply furniture for all the living spaces in the home, including the living, dining and bedrooms, kitchen equipment and bed linens. Our donation also went toward artwork, art supplies and exercise equipment. The work party shown added the final touches to the house just before the first residents moved in and started their recovery program.
